Terms of Use

Last updated: September 12, 2026 · Published by KLKR Studio

1. What this is

Shiro is a home screen (launcher) for Android, published by KLKR Studio (“we”, “us”). These terms cover your use of the app. By installing or using Shiro you accept them; if you do not accept them, do not install it, or uninstall it.

Shiro is distributed through the Solana dApp Store, and a separate build of it is made for Google Play. Each store has its own terms between you and its operator, and nothing here replaces them.

2. What you may do

You may install and use Shiro on any device you control, for as long as you like, for personal or business use. No account, no registration, no subscription. The app itself is free; only Premium, below, is paid, and it is optional.

3. Premium

Some features are grouped as Premium and unlocked by a single purchase. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

In the Solana dApp Store build:

In the Google Play build, Premium, once it is offered there, is bought through Google Play and governed by Google Play’s own terms, including its refund rules.

What Premium contains may change over time, as set out in section 8.

4. What you may not do

You may not sell, rent or redistribute Shiro as your own product, publish a modified build of it under its name or icon, or represent your build as coming from us. You may not use Shiro to break the law or to interfere with other people’s devices, and you may not unlock Premium by getting around the purchase.

5. Ownership

Shiro, its name, its icon and its code remain ours. These terms give you permission to use the app, not ownership of it. Third-party components included in the app remain the property of their authors and are used under their own licences.

Anything you arrange or create inside Shiro — your layout, your folders, your names for them — is yours. We claim nothing in it, and we do not receive it.

6. Other apps and services

Shiro shows and starts other apps installed on your phone, opens your browser when you search the web, and can open your app store. In the Solana dApp Store build it can also open the Solana dApp Store, and your wallet app when you buy Premium, and it reads from the public Solana network to prepare and check that payment. We do not control those apps, services or networks and are not responsible for what they do, what they show you, or what they collect. Your relationship with them is yours.

7. Privacy

What Shiro sends, and what it never sends, is set out in the Privacy Policy. In short: the Google Play build sends nothing at all, because it has no internet permission; the Solana dApp Store build reaches the network only to buy or restore Premium.

8. Changes to the app

Shiro is updated from time to time. Features may be added, changed or removed. We do not promise that any particular feature will exist forever, and we are not obliged to keep publishing the app.

9. No warranty

Shiro is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. A home screen sits between you and your phone: while we test each release, we cannot promise it will be free of faults, or that it will work identically on every phone and every version of Android.

If Shiro misbehaves on your phone, you can set another home screen at any time in your phone’s settings, and uninstall Shiro like any other app.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profit, or the cost of substitute software arising from your use of Shiro. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these exclusions; where that is so, they do not apply to you.

11. Ending these terms

You may stop using Shiro at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your permission to use it if you break these terms.

12. Governing law

Section incomplete; requires finalization before this document is treated as final. The governing jurisdiction has not yet been settled for KLKR Studio’s apps. Where you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
